4th Dimension are proud to be working alongside Dorothy Stringer School to provide all of their Year 7 students the chance to attend a residential multi-activity week up in North Wales.
Some of the activities include ghyll scrambling/gorge walking, mountaineering, rock-climbing and abseiling and the ‘Ogwen Traverse’, all of which are local to the centre.
The centre itself is self catering and has two ‘alpine style’ dormitories accommodating up to 30 students. There is also a communal kitchen, a drying room and separate toilet and shower facilities.
Dolawen also has a separate staff cottage with two separate bedrooms, a kitchen, showers and toilets. There is also a communal living room.
4th Dimension also use the centre to run staff training and NGB courses at the beginning and end of the season. These weeks are where our staff get to experience all the activities on offer and put their personal skills into practice.
